harmony with the design concept and responsible to the end user.
Schematic Design
Develop an overall
lighting concept for the project.
Provide a preliminary
lighting fixture layout that describes the lighting design intent.
Provide a preliminary
lighting fixture schedule, fixture cuts, sketches and proposed
lamping for the proposed lighting design concept.
Provide information
required to prepare a preliminary cost estimate of recommended
lighting fixtures.
Design Development
Assist in coordination of the
lighting design with architectural, electrical and mechanical design.
Submit lighting calculations
as required for verification of lighting design concepts.
Develop the lighting design
concepts based on comments to preliminary lighting design.
Develop the lighting fixture
schedule based on comments to the preliminary design.
Develop fixture cuts and/or
detail drawings of proposed lighting fixtures.
Construction Documents
Continue to assist in
coordination of the lighting design with architectural, electrical and
mechanical design.
Submit final lighting plans
indicating fixture layout and dimensions where required.
Provide final schedule of
lighting fixtures in a format compatible with Architect's drawing standards.
Submit general conditions
specifications for the lighting fixtures.
Bidding/Value Engineering
Review and provide recommendations as
required to meet budget, if required.
Construction Administration
Check shop drawings of
specified equipment and associated architectural elements.
Recommend alternate fixtures
if lead times of original submittals become critical.
Provide site visits to monitor
design intent and quality control.
Prepare a written punch list.
Provide final lamping schedule
for Building Maintenance Crew.
Review completed lighting
installation; provide supervision for focusing of adjustable fixtures if
required.
